Eating more while breastfeeding- is it normal?

I’m a breastfeeding mother… do any of you guys eat more than what yall did before or get super thirsty… I tend to snack or eat more than what I did… is that normal due to me breastfeeding
If I wanted to I could eat a whole cow… but anyways lol
