My 7-month-old is refusing to eat solids. I've tried purees and finger foods, but he just won't take them. He seems to only want breast milk and gets very fussy when I try to introduce solids. I've tried different times of the day and various types of foods, but he just pushes everything away. He’s meeting all other developmental milestones and is generally a happy baby. What can I do to encourage him to eat solids?

Introduce one new food at a time and try mixing it with something he likes. Make sure the texture is appropriate for his age and offer it multiple times before giving up. Sometimes, eating together as a family can encourage him to try new foods by watching you eat.

Here is a list of first time foods to try out.
